Dream come true! We’re working on downdays.eu, a freeskiing website.

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Downdays.eu – the fastest growing European free skiing community is being upgraded by Applicake developers, Aneta – the designer and Ela, our usability expert. Oh yes, we’re responsible for the SysOps too. Our task is to implement quite a few new features as well as to improve the overall usability of the Austria-based startup.

Beacuse the project brings together our two great passions:  baking applications and (free) skiing, we are sure the dev team will have lots of fun while working on downdays! Expect the first results in October.

Soon we’ll post some pictures and videos of “Applicakers & free skiing” :)

Hollrr is more social – big update on new features!

Friday, September 4th, 2009

We’re thrilled to announce the the biggest roll-out of new features on Hollrr so far. For those who don’t follow our blog and product updates – Hollrr.com is a product endorsement site for people passionate about innovative products, services and solutions (we call them Hollrrers btw!). We launched the Hollrr beta around April 2009.

What are the new features then?

To start with, now you can follow your friends and favorite Hollrrers. When you log into Hollrr, you’ll see all the Hollrrs of the people you’re following right there on the Home page!  Plus, each user now has their own page where they can profile their Hollrrs.

But wait… there’s more!

One big request from Hollrr users was to receive email notifications and summaries of what’s happening on Hollrr.  “Again, we’re thrilled to roll-out this feature too.  The default setting for notifications is ‘medium’ frequency… if you wanna hear from us a little bit more, or maybe a little bit less, you can adjust your notifications frequency on the settings page.

”

And now the credits. Applicake – Hollrr team: Joseph and Marcin.
